The Apple User Group Finland, Apple-käyttäjät ry (formerly fiMUG ry), is an association for Apple users and enthusiasts in Finland. The association organizes co-operation between the users of Apple products, promotes versatile use of information technology, and manages the preservation of Apple-related history in Finland.

Our association also keeps a collection of Apple products used in Finland. The association accepts donations to its museum collection to support its historic preservation activities. 

For members, the association keeps a web hosting service. This service is included in the yearly membership fee (€ 40.00). Members are offered up to 2 GB of space on the website and one mailbox service for personal use.  

The association also offers its members benefits in co-operation with domestic and foreign partners, and the members may take advantage of membership benefits provided by the international Apple User Group Advisory Board. The Apple User Group Finland, one of the hundreds of Apple communities worldwide, is also part of the worldwide Apple User Group network. 

Information and the latest news are provided through the association’s website (in Finnish), e-newsletter, members’ magazine, on Hopeinen Omena discussion forum, and social media services like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. 

Hopeinen Omena discussion forum 

The association hosts one of Finland’s largest Apple-related open discussion forums called Hopeinen Omena, which translates to “Silver Apple”. The forum was set up in February 2004 as an independent discussion forum, and in 2008 it was transferred to the administration of The Apple User Group Finland. Since the establishment of the discussion forum, more than 80 000 users have registered, and millions of messages have been written.

You can become a member of the Apple User Group Finland by filling out the online membership form or by using a free-form message. Our membership fee is € 40 / 12 months, support membership is € 300  / 12 months.

As a member, you have the opportunity to participate in courses and workshops organized by the association. At the same time, you also support the associations’ discussion forum, Hopeinen Omena.
